Behind The Scenes - Liv and Felix, Private Wedding Install in Tadcaster.

Today marks one week since we packed the van and drove across the countryside into North Yorkshire to install florals for Liv and Felix on Felix’s parents private property in Tadcaster. The couple were a pleasure to work with from start to finish: an open brief, relaxed approach and a perfect setting. This is the kind of gold dust most floral designers are dreaming of.

Liv had a clear vision of a paired back colour palette which we curated into a bespoke floral colour story for their wedding. I drew additional inspiration from a watercolour painting by William Henry Hunt - Primrose’s and Bird’s Nest.

I designed a series of meadow scenes for the ceremony, alongside hanging nest floral installations in the main marquee. All entirely sustainably made, with no dodgy hidden mechanics and zero floral foam (as always).

We leant into the May seasonality and designs were abundant with foxgloves, tulips, ranunculus and plenty of architectural grassy detail which our work is often recognised for.

Long tables were laid with a selection of bud vases for space saving amongst sharing platters.

I hope to share more soon of how the day unfolded for the newly wed Garside’s.
