We have recently embarked on a long term project of creating a small specialist plant nursery and flower farm from our homestead in Laycock, West Yorkshire.
At Honour Farm Flowers we are passionate about cultivating perennials and cut flowers using agroecological methods. Improving biodiversity and soil health for more resilient plants, beneficial to the overall ecosystem within the cutting garden and beyond. Our flowers provide a crucial food source for pollinators and we only ever cut what we intend to use.
We are proudly chemical/pesticide free, using only regenerative techniques and have successfully integrated the use of waterfowl to manage our pest population. We also compost all our green waste on site, which supplies us with plenty of organic matter to feed our soil. In times of excess our two sheep are nourished by any further spent flora.
